188 – We Are Not Good (Mark 10:18)

In this highly uplifting episode, Jeremiah talks about our efforts toward being good. The hypothesis is that goodness belongs to God alone. The experiment is to realize that you are not good, and can never be good without maintaining a deep relationship with the Father in which you reflect His own goodness.

  1. Wow. Simple clarity. My favorite quote:
“The moment I think that I am good, I can live apart from God. And if I think I am good, then I will be alone, and I will never be good. I will never be fulfilled. I will never be happy. What gives us these things is a constant relationship with God. His goodness is reflected in us.”
